Cartwheel now supports logging into the Driver App with a phone number and a one-time SMS code. This makes it faster and easier for drivers to sign in.
Note: While this update replaces the previous workflow, both methods remain available during the transition. Existing drivers can still use their old login credentials if needed. You can share our Driver App Manual with your drivers so they can learn more about their login options.
Driver Accounts
New drivers
The “Login” field is not required when creating a driver.
Only a phone number is required, and it must be unique within each company.
Existing drivers
Drivers who previously had multiple accounts across different teams with the same phone number now have them merged into a single account.
Once the driver logs in with the new account, old accounts are deactivated.
Any scheduled orders linked to old accounts must be reassigned.
Multiple Team Selection
A single driver can now belong to several teams at once.
Drivers can switch between teams in the app without logging out.
Dispatchers can also change a driver’s active team; drivers will be notified via push notification.
The Team field has been renamed to Active Team.
Thr Available Teams field allows selecting which teams a driver can switch between.
Routes, History, and Chat
Routes and order history now include orders from all teams, not just the active one.
Chat with dispatch is available only for the active team, while order-related chats remain visible across all teams.
