Welcome to the Dispatcher Map! This is your primary screen for dispatching and managing your orders and drivers.
The Dispatcher Map consists of an informational panel on the left and a map on the right where you can see your orders and drivers in real-time.
Essential Terms and Tabs
In Cartwheel we use this delivery terminology:
- Pick-up – is a place where the order will be delivered from (restaurant, store).
- Drop-off – is a place where the order will be delivered to (customer location).
- Driver – is a person who delivers the order.
The informational panel consists of the following tabs:
Orders - shows the list of all current orders (available for delivery and in progress). Learn about Order colors on the information panel.
Here you can:
- Create a new order. More information can be found in Quick-Creating an Order
- Edit order details. More information can be found in Editing an Order
-
Assign an order to a driver by selecting the order and choosing Assign driver from the drop-down list:
Drivers - the list of all visible drivers available for order assignment. The driver information shows the driver's name, the last time the driver was visible, and visible hours.
Combinations - the list of possible ways to batch orders for drivers based on the delivery time and delivery address. More information can be found in Assigning Multiple Orders to a Driver
Teams - the list of available Teams to display on the Dispatcher Map.
Note: if you have only one Team created in your system, this tab will be hidden as your Team will be chosen by default. More about Teams can be found in Creating a Team
Routes - the list of routes that are sent to the Driver's app by the system when drivers have more than one order assigned. More information can be found in Assigning Multiple Orders to a Driver
