The DSP API allows courier companies to integrate with Cartwheel. This API makes it easy for delivery service providers to receive orders from other companies using Cartwheel as their management software and provides real-time updates on changes in order status.
Enabling the DSP API Feature
- To enable the DSP API feature, please send a request to kristina@trycartwheel.com.
- Our team will confirm this request with the company you wish to integrate and set up the integration on our side.
Delivery Processing Flow
- Request a Quote (Optional): This will tell your client the estimated pickup time and cost for your delivery.
- Request a Delivery.
- Reschedule, Modify, or Cancel the Delivery.
- The Delivery is Executed.
Upon integration, we'll provide you with the URL for sending webhooks to communicate order status changes.

Client's perspective
After the integration is set, clients will gain access to a new option when they click the "Send to DSP" button.
When an order is sent to the DSP, it will be updated to reflect any changes made on the DSP side. This includes tracking when the order is assigned to a driver, picked up, and delivered.
