Changing a password allows the administrator to select the user’s new password. Password reset prompts the user to change their own password the next time they log in or generates a random password for the user. Web users can also reset their own passwords.
Change Password
To change a user’s password, go to Administration > Users:
Find the user on the list, right-click on their name, and select Change password.
Enter a new password in both fields and click OK.
Password Reset
If you reset a user’s password, they will be prompted to enter a new password on the next log in.
To reset a user’s password, go to Administration > Users.
Find the user on the list, right-click on their name, and select Reset passwords.
You will be prompted with a few options:
- Click OК to reset the password, and the user will be prompted to enter a new password at the next login.
- Select the checkbox Generate new random password and then click OK:
A new window opens with the newly generated password:
- Select Generate new random password and Send email with password for the user to receive an email with their new password.
This will only send if there is an email address in the user’s profile.
User Reset
A user can also reset their own password by using the Forgot password link on the login page.
Enter your username/login:
Click Send code. You will get a confirmation window.
Check your email for a reset confirmation code:

Enter this code from the e-mail in the Confirm code field and then click Reset password:
Create and enter a new strong password, confirm it, and click Update password:
After you click OK, you will be redirected to the login form. Enter your username and new password.
